Emily Burnett

Emily Burnett is inspired by tribal cultures. The stunning colours and patterns in their costumes are beautiful. She works in silver, with vitreous coloured glass enamels to achieve the high quality brightness of the tribal outfits along with the patterns represented by creating textured surfaces. She uses a kiln to enamel her work which achieves the highest quality possible. “It really excites me to see the end result of the enamelling as each piece will never be the same and this makes the process more interesting and it is almost as if every single piece is an experiment.” The tinkling sounds that these enamelled silver parts create, along with the movement and colour adds a playful quality to each piece
