Kate Smith

Kate Smith is an award winning designer whose jewellery is inspired by nature and subtleties found within it. “The pieces that I create come from abstracted drawings of tiny details within nature; maybe the contour of a leaf or a pattern within a seed head will catch my eye. I then transform these, using silver and gold, into a wearable piece of jewellery” Each piece is painstakingly crafted by hand in her workshop in the jewellery quarter, Birmingham. She was recently commissioned to make a one off neck collar for the worship company of goldsmiths’ modern collection
